Now I know I have told you all that I left school half way through 5th year but I did sit some exams and I will continue to sit more in the future so I have some helpful tips for crash studying and those two hour snack breaks.
No.1- Always know exactly when your exams are. Write it on your calendar, on a whiteboard or just on a piece of paper and put it some where you will see. It will help you to focus on the exam that is closest to you and not just the subjects that you like.
No.2- Keep your study materials separate. Don't get your english materials mixed up with your history notes. Which brings me nicely on to....
no.3- Be Organised. Have all your notes and essays sorted into subjects before you even start studying. If you haven't it just give you another excuse to put of what is needing to be done. Get a pollypocket or folder for each subject. Trust me, it will help in the long run. You could also make a time table for studying so you aren't studying one subject for hours and avoiding another one, although I have to admit to not being any good at following a schedule.
no.4- Good Food. Eat good foods like fruit and smoothies. i always found it helpful to have a bowl of fruit or nuts beside me when I studied that way I was filling my self up so I was less tempted to eat junk and also had to take less snack breaks.
no.5- Stay hydrated. It's always important to drink plenty of water but when you are doing so much work and need to remember lots of information you need to give your brain a little helping out, so drink plenty of water before exams and while your studying.
And finally at number 6.
no.6- Show up. There is always that dread before an exam especially if it's your first one but at least give it a try if you show up and fail it's better than not even trying.
xx
