Recently my skin has been playing up big time, from black heads to break outs and everything in-between. Thankfully it is starting to calm down now and since it has worked so well I thought I would share some of my skin care with you guys.
Now I live in Scotland so don't get to see much of the sun and get the all important vitamin D so I feel like I need to take extra care of my skin since it misses out so much.
Morning Skin Care
My morning skin care regime starts off with the 'simple kind to skin micellar cleansing water' this product is so amazing especially for people who find them selves rushing out of the door in the mornings. All it takes is two cotton pads damp with cold water and a generous amount of the cleansing water. The cold cleansing water also helps to wake skin up after a full nights sleep. After I have cleansed my face I apply 'The Body Shop SEAWEED PORE PERFECTOR for combination/oily skin' I only apply this to areas where I have more severe redness such as bigger spots and the areas around my nose. So once my skin is cleansed and my redness has been taken care of I go about my other morning tasks allowing the 'PORE PERFECTOR' to soak into my skin. Then a few minutes before I start my make up, I moisturise with 'simple kind to skin vital vitamin DAY cream'. This is one of the best day creams I have tried because you only need a pea sized amount to do your whole face and as well as moisturising it has an SPF 15 which is super important even when living in a country that doesn't get much sun. I also find that the cream evens out the skin tone and create a great base for makeup.
Evening Skin Care
Now my evening skin care is a bit more extensive, which is understandable since we need to wash away a whole days worth of makeup and all that other stuff...
I always start by removing my eye make up with 'BOOTS Simply Sensitive eye make-up remover'. It's a very oily products (so maybe not recommended to anyone with natural oily skin or anyone prone to spots around the eye area) and removes all of my eye make up so easily and it means I don't need to do any scrubbing or tugging around the eye. I use the eye make up remover by poring some of the solution on to a damp cotton pad. Then I use the micellar water the sam way I do in the morning and clean off the rest of my makeup. Once my face is clean I take 'Simple kind to eyes soothing eye balm' and apply lather it on under my eyes (I mean you're going to sleep who cares about greasy looking under eyes ?) This product is one that lives up to its name is totally soothing and keeps your eyes looking healthy and fresh. Now my night time moisturiser is one of my all time favourite products and works wonders. It is so hydrating to the skin and smells amazing. Even when you wake up in the morning you can touch your skin and still feel they layer of moisture, it's the 'Soap and Glory Beauty Sleep Accelerator Night & Flight Moisture Miracle'
I hope you enjoyed reading my skin care routine and I would love to hear any tips or questions from
you guys about skin care.
Thanks for reading....
